Position Overview:

This position requires technical expertise in cutting-edge product development and manufacturing. It involves working closely with LG and automotive manufacturers, navigating high-tech products and industry standards. Key responsibilities include addressing technical requirements, resolving issues, and influencing integration project development. The ideal candidate is adept at problem-solving, effective communication, and ensuring top-tier development quality within deadlines, fostering trust and showcasing exceptional implementation skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead planning, reporting, team engagement, and risk management for ADAS system development
  • Provide technical support for ADAS programs, managing feature development milestones
  • Mentor engineers, act as a liaison for OEM customers, and internal stakeholders
  • Identify and manage project issues and risks throughout development and beyond
  • Guide team members in fulfilling short and long-term responsibilities
  • Handle camera, software, and hardware issues, coordinating with customers for resolution
  • Oversee ADAS test vehicle equipment installation, updates, testing, data collection, and maintenance
  • Produce weekly progress reports and liaise with relevant engineers
  • Manage OEM requirements and design changes, ensuring timely implementation and clear communication
  • Coordinate with LGE HQ cross-functional teams, contributing to program success
  • Support resolution of business, manufacturing, and technical challenges
  • Collaborate with Validation, Manufacturing, Procurement, Sales, and Quality teams for project success
  • Proactively identify and manage ADAS-related issues and risks, keeping stakeholders informed
  • Prioritize tasks and adapt to changing roles as required
  • Lead ADAS development and serve as the primary point of contact for customer communication
  • Prioritize ADAS development tasks, feature validation, and new business development initiatives
  • Collaborate with sales and business planning teams to drive ADAS business growth
  • Make autonomous decisions on most program-related ADAS matters, with upper management oversight when needed
  • Coordinate with Project Leaders in camera, software, and hardware domains for ADAS development decisions
  • Ensure managerial review and approval for critical items such as specification changes, development schedules, and resource planning
  • Follow the customer's acceptance process & LG internal development process
  • Contribute to increasing VS business across the car manufactures as a long-term strategy
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree
  • 8+ Years Related Experience
  • This position may need to travel to the customer or supplier location for up to 12 weeks a year.
  • Ability to work late/early hours for meetings with international contacts
  • Travel up to 30% (domestic and international)

Preferred:

  • The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience in:
    • IATF 16949 and APQP & FMEA certification process
    • Oversee multiple technical projects concurrently, ensuring adherence to budget, quality, and schedule objectives
    • Direct engagements with internal/external stakeholders, including customers, collaborators, and third-party developers
    • Track record of successfully managing complex projects within diverse budgets, delivering on-time and high-quality outcomes
    • Lead cross-functional teams, both internal and external, towards strategic goals-Proficient in navigating the automotive industry landscape, staying abreast of emerging technologies and market dynamics
    • Possess strong strategic thinking and analytical capabilities to translate technical complexities into business solutions
    • Efficient resource management to optimize budget and time allocations
    • Adaptability to multicultural settings with a global perspective
    • Expertise in ADAS system integration and validation, including HIL/SIL validation
    • Development and execution of test cases for ADAS systems
    • Effective communication skills, emphasizing transparency
    • Eagerness for continuous learning and exploration of new domains, such as ADAS safety regulations and sensor technologies (radar, lidar, vital sensors)
  • Bilingual - English, Korean
