About the role

SUMMARY:

Responsible for generating new leads and meetings to drive sales opportunities by identifying, contacting, and qualifying potential customers. Responsible for generating and managing prospective customer leads.

What you'll be doing

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Contact and actively qualify potential customers and optimize the use of automation tools (i.e., Gong) to drive effective outreach.
  • Proficient use of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platforms to track daily, weekly, and monthly activities.
  • Articulate products, services, and industry trends and provide a level of consultative insights to prospective customers and persuade buying interests.
  • Identify key decision makers through outreach to build and maintain strong relationships with prospect customers and convert to a qualified sales lead.
  • Run highly effective outbound calling, emailing, and marketing campaigns to organize meetings between prospective customers and the new business development (BDM) sales team.
  • Use booking tools (i.e., Microsoft Outlook) to schedule meetings for new sales directors with the responsibility for tracking meetings.
  • Collaborate with the new sales director team to develop strategies for reaching lead and meeting goals and KPIs for qualified sales leads and pipeline quotas.
  • Stay up to date on market trends, competition, and industry developments.
  • Provide reporting on sales activities and results to management.
  • Conduct baseline research within targeted prospective companies to identify key contacts and critical account information prior to prospecting calls and introductory sales meetings.
  • Maintain accurate information about key contacts and sales activities in Salesforce.
  • Work closely with manager and marketing team members to share information, provide feedback, and achieve overall sales targets.
About you

MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • 1+ year of work experience in a pipeline generation role as a Sales Development Representative in a services sales industry is highly preferred.
  • 2 years+ of experience working in an early-stage company or in a frontline sales position.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS:

  • Full ownership of sales development process and customer relationship building.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain strong client relationships.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and influence prospect stakeholders and decision makers.
  • Understanding of lead generation tools (i.e., Salesforce, Outreach, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Navigator, etc.).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to manage outreach campaigns using creativity and persistence to book meetings.
  • Goal-oriented, results focused, and display a growth mindset to persevere through sales objections.
  • Demonstrate curiosity to learn and ability to develop deep knowledge of trends across industries.
  • Proficiency to navigate new and emerging automation, CRM and digital outreach platforms, social media, and data mining tools.
  • Ability to work with ownership and drive to accomplish daily, weekly, and monthly productivity goals.
  • Demonstrated ability to execute sales and digital marketing strategies and drive the sales development cycle to meet objectives.
  • Strong writing and editing skills including the ability to extract insights from large amounts of information.
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills to quickly identify and assess client needs and strong judgment to offer consultative insights to influence buying interest of services and solutions.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work successfully with limited supervision.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and partnerships both internally and externally and work well with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to function well in a fast-paced competitive and engaging environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
