Job Description

Summary:

  • Seneca Middle School
  • 7 hours a day/Monday-Friday, occasional evening hours as needed
  • Start of second semester




Qualifications:

  • Bachelors required, Master's Degree (preferred) in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology or related field
  • Training and experience in conflict resolution preferred
  • Experience in working with adolescents required
  • Ability to motivate non-traditional learners
  • Ability to act as a role model
  • Demonstrates skill and sensitivity in working with all members of the school community


Duties:

  • Work with identified and eligible individual students who are "at risk" due to academic, social, emotional and/or behavioral issues, including conflicts with others at school
  • Develops relationships, interventions and support to the at-risk student population
  • Reviews academic and behavior goals and makes adjustments as needed
