About the Role

The Senior Manager for Product Management leads a global team of experts to drive and define the product, platform strategy, and go-to-market plans for the Augmented Reality (AR) product portfolio. Focus on leading technology, UX, and monetization.

Your Team

The team is comprised of professionals focusing on Product Management, Business Development, Platform Management, and Requirements Management to define, design, and execute a comprehensive strategy for AR. You will also work with Samsung AEB and collaborate with the ADAS business unit. You will also work closely with HARMAN's Automotive Division leadership team, colleagues in engineering and other business units, key external partners, and customers to ensure that the strategy aligns with the needs of the market.

What You Will Do

  • Responsible for the development of product strategies and plans to define the features in new technologies, platforms, products, and services in Automotive AR Head-up Display (HUD)

  • Responsible for driving Software Products - AR software, Software as a Product (SaaP), and cockpit software

  • You will create compelling and differentiated product propositions based on market needs, customer segments, and technical feasibility, aligned to overarching product strategy while ensuring product delivery from ideation to launch.

  • Drive revenue and margin expansion of existing product lines by partnering closely with HARMAN customer groups including pricing strategies through the Intelligent Cockpit business unit.

  • With a focus on being the voice of the customer, you will be responsible for anticipating market needs and ensuring requirements are fed into the global management framework.

  • Present AR demonstration systems, products, and technology roadmaps at customer events and trade fairs, as needed.

  • Gather product details from product leaders and regenerate them in a way that is understandable and exciting to the customers.

  • Build a solid understanding of the market for HARMAN AR HUD products; develop and maintain competitive awareness to support product positioning and sales enablement activities.

  • Collaborate with external creative agencies in the HUD space to develop product enablement materials and tools; determine and align program requirements and drive execution.

  • Co-drive HARMAN's Digital Cockpit RFQ engagements together with the Customer Groups.

  • Directly responsible for Platform Definition, Product Requirements definition, Business Development, Program management (for internal reference platform development), business sales team, and RFQ support teams.

  • Manage and maintain a roadmap of Product Lines that allows HARMAN to lead in the market.

  • Support management of the product or project-related budget

What You Need

  • 10+ years of Product Management experience.

  • 10+ years managing customer projects, platforms, and end-to-end delivery experience.

  • Solid technical aptitude, with previous experience in the automotive space including Hardware, Mechanical, Software, and Optical Engineering

  • Proven track record of defining and successfully selling platform-based solutions.

  • Strong customer orientation through credibility with the customer as a trusted, collaborative, and productive partner.

  • Experience working in a matrix, global, cross-functional organization by collaborating with key stakeholders in sales, product operations, marketing, and engineering.

  • Experience with effectively communicating with the upper-level leadership

  • Ability to think beyond the technology itself and understand key business drivers that ensure technology investment will provide substantial value or improvements to customers.

  • Experience working with Tier-1s or OEMs in product development, with a preference for providing support in the technologies associated with digital cockpit

  • Understanding of product level and technical requirements in HUD development, AR, and cockpit technologies.

  • Experience in supporting OEM's RFQ, RFI, and RFC responses from Product concept alignment to product development.

  • Technical expertise with business acumen in Automotive Product Management, Business Development, and Engineering Management to enhance product performance.

What is Nice to Have

  • Relevant education in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

  • Strong experience in Product development and agile processes

  • Track record of managing large, complex projects with multiple stakeholders.

  • Track record of driving business value and growth

  • Excellent collaboration skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels within the organization, internally and externally.

  • Experience managing external partners.
