Essential Functions (Job Duties)
Pursue an active program of research and external funding in Early Childhood Education or Early Childhood Special Education.
Develop and teach undergraduate and graduate courses, and in-service initiatives for educators.
Advise and help recruit and retain undergraduate and graduate students.
Contribute to the ongoing innovation of impactful undergraduate and graduate programs.
Provide leadership and service at the national, state, and local levels.
Unique Duties
Qualifications
Earned doctorate in Early Childhood Education, Early Childhood Special Education, or a related field.
For Assistant Professors: demonstrated ability or potential for excellence to conduct research and publish, teach and advise effectively, and pursue external funding.
For Associate Professors: an established record of research, teaching, and service to meet the University's requirements for tenure.
Minimum of three years of experience teaching children from birth to age eight.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in urban, racially and linguistically diverse, and inclusive settings.
University-level teaching experience, including on-campus, online, and hybrid formats.
Experience leading clinical or practicum experiences in early childhood educational settings.
Experience or interest in program coordination and curriculum development.
